brain dumb need dinner ideas vegan/low-fat please....
to stupid to think well. pregnancy has taken over my one brain cell
need two weeks or more of ideas. recipes optional (i'm a creative cook). extra points if you give me more than one recipe or if i can freeze leftovers from it. double points if you use lotsa veggies. hubby likes meat and potatoes. mama likes pretty much anything, especially sauces. kids like everything except for stuff with red flecks in it (bellpepper, tomatoes, pimiento pieces, etc). thanks |

Put red lentils in a soup pot with water and vegetable broth (I use beef broth, I'm an omnivore.) Add garlic and onion.
Add cubed butternut squash, carrots, and a can of stewed tomatoes. Add any other spices you might desire. I like it tasting tomato-y, but once left a roommate in charge and it wound up much more like a curry flavour. :shrug3 Serve with bread. |

I leave out the miso and the paprika, and I use broccoli instead of kale or cabbage. Everybody loves this, and even though we've been eating meat for the past year and a half, this is still a family favourite. I'd also recommend Fresh From the Vegetarian Slowcooker |
