Do you keep every...

workbook they've ever done? Math and grammar workbooks are piling up and I'd like permission to let them go. :)

Granted!

Good heavens, no, don't keep them unless you required them for record-keeping.

Goodness, no. I throw everything away at the end of the week, sometimes before.

I don't need to keep any proof of work, though.

Stop that! :hissyfit

In answer to the question, no, I don't keep every single one. I keep a few just so the kids have a visual to show them how much they've improved in any given subject (i.e. when Timothy's getting frustrated with his math, I can go back and show him how much his math has improved and it makes him feel better), but I don't have enough storage space for that much paperwork.

Thanks, everybody! I tore the covers off so we'd have some reminder of what they've done and THREW AWAY several workbooks! :cheer

My kids prefer the 'end of the year, report already approved' bonfire method.

My dd still reminisces fondly about the first time she got to throw her own math workbook in the trash. She'd love a bonfire.

I keep all of their creative work, none of their workbooks.

I only keep the end of PACE test. I use A.C.E. curriculum.

I kept my DDs math workbook. My son colors in it to do "his math" :)

I have way too much stuff in a bin somewhere and I think I'm gonna toss it when I get the chance...I feel overwhelmed by all of it and since one of mine is in school now, I definitely don't need it...

I usually toss them but I like this idea so much I think I will steal it.

I keep most of the creative stuff but not the stuff with right and wrong answers. I might keep a page or two of a workbook if I really want to, but not usually.

I do that, or let the littles cut them up. Horizons always has cute illustrations. I also do that with handwriting without tears. They like the drawings and I figure it is cheaper and more enviromentally friendly than buying them a bunch of junk workbooks at the dollar store;):rockon
