Re: Vegetable/Fruit Gardening 2020
I am sorry about your garden. That's a terrible feeling when something going wrong near the finish. I am sure next year you will do a perfect garden. Can only wish you luck and not to give up.

Re: Vegetable/Fruit Gardening 2020
I had another unsuccessful year of gardening.
Sugar snap peas - small handful Spinach - nope. Tomato plant 1 - puppy dug up. Tomato plant 2 - ds mowed over while mowing. Looks like we can replant peas and spinach in August/Sept. So will try those again. |
Re: Vegetable/Fruit Gardening 2020
We have two 4X30 raised beds and planted a bunch of squash/zucchini in the ground this year. A bug got to most of our squash and cucumbers, sadly. We did get some fruit from them and some is still growing, but the plants look horrible.
Our tomatoes & peppers look amazing and are just starting to produce edible fruit. (We live in the northeastern US so this is about the right time to harvest them). Our lettuce and cilantro took off like wildfire. We've had quite a harvest of those. I discovered that 6 sugar snap pea plants are not enough. Next year I'll do 3 times that. I also discovered that radishes and carrots are useless as the kids aren't took keen on the radishes and I'd need to plant a ton more carrots than our raised beds allow for to make it worth it. |
