This is a really, really cool science website that my mom told me about. She works in a museum in the hands-on children's section, setting up projects and helping people as they need it. Some strips from this website were displayed once as part of an exhibit:

Enjoy!

Food Timeline

I thought this was fascinating. It tells you what people ate when and when and where various foods originated. You can click on links to learn more about the food. Probably good supplement for all kinds of history lessons.

The gal who put together this group is awsome! She goes through the website www.bookcloseouts.com and looks for new arrivals that might be of interest to home school families. She also lists coupons that can be used at bookcloseouts. It's always great when I find a book I'm looking for at a discount! Hope this helps someone...

I just found this today:

http://members.learningplanet.com/di...ndex.asp?lev=1

Lots of learning games for preschool through high school, online games and printable worksheets. Zach detests doing worksheets, so I am going to let him do the math games here in place of our usual math stuff a couple times a week. He'll love it!

I really enjoy this mailing list. There are a lot of different styles and families here, but I never see bickering. They are actually uplifting, kind, caring and quite thoughtful in their replies.

This is the author of the new Exploring Series for Apologia Science. It is Elementary Level Science from a Christian perspective. It's Charlotte Mason/Classical in approach.
