Instagram spammy friend/follow requests
 
Does this happen to anyone else? For awhile I didn't have my account set to private. I don't post much, maybe three times a month. I decided to look at the list of my followers and found --several-- accounts that were porographic (but within Instagram guidelines :mad) following me. So I blocked them and set my account as private.

Now I'm getting follow requests from more porn accounts. These accounts are clearly trying to lure men to their websites, their account description states they're looking for men.

It's so annoying. I don't want to drop Instagram but if this keeps up I will. And I'll have to block the entire domain.

Same. My account is also private, but I still get requests. I hate it :( If you figure out a solution, let me know!!

I used their feedback menu option to give them a piece of my mind. I'm so sick of it. I've bought things from advertisers on instagram. I'm writing them, too.

I get spammish requests, but they are family/eductional sites. (probably traced to a few companies I follow)

I do report inappropriate accounts when I see them. I always get a notice from Instagram that they have deleted the accounts.

I get a ton of "follow for more followers!!". I report every single one of them.
Pr0n I haven't gotten on IG. Tumblr though...

Interesting. I've reported several just this month and heard nothing. They are technically within guidelines because the people aren't completely nude. But NOTHING has been left to the imagination, if you KWIM. My 13 yo dd is on instagram. She doesn't need this kind of harassment. If I'm not even close to looking for it, I shouldn't have to regularly report and block this trash.

Why can't there be just ONE nice social app for sharing pictures without arguing, politics, or porn? :sigh

I blocked tumblr entirely.
