Does any one have a cromebook?
Dh and I are running into time where we both need the computer. I am wondering if I could get a chrome or something else cheep to cover what I need.
What I use the computer for right now is. 1) playing t-tap DVDs. -I know that cromebooks don't have cd drives but could I get the video up in to the Google drive? 2) interacting with my home school curriculum. -Much of is in the form of a PDF. I am assuming that asking as I bought the data I can out it on my Google drive. 3) printing student pages for school. - we have one printer that I can print from WiFi. But the Lazer printers is old and still needs to be plugged in to the computer. Does Google offer any way to have a chrome book interface with older technology? 4) playing on ravelry 5) occasionally streaming video from hgtv I know I can do 4 and 5 easily and 2 should be minimal effort. Are there ways I could deal with a video that I own up where I could watch it from the cloud? Not being able to print to the Lazer printers wouldn't be a non starter. I can always print from the lap top, and 90%of the time I do that in batchws Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk |

We had a chromebook. I hated it- so slow. We called it the molasses book. But supposedly they are faster now.

How much space do you have in your Google Drive? Maybe you can find the video on YouTube? Or try Google Photos, it's unlimited.

Re: Does any one have a cromebook?
My DD won a chromebook from the summer reading program this year. It's been a great little laptop for her. Not slow and could definitely be because it's a newer one than Erin had.
I'm not sure about the printer dilemma. Maybe there is some adaptive hardware available somewhere. |

Re: Does any one have a cromebook?
I have had two chromebooks and love them. My first one I had for 3 years before it completely crashed. I replaced it back in January with this one and so far so good. I use a desktop for printing, so I don't have any feedback on that, but for everyday use it is super fast and easy to use. The screen is pretty fragile (or at least my first one was-it broke) so I keep it in a zip around case and always open it from the center.
