Visiting Savannah: where would you go?
Next month we are going to Savannah for a couple days. My husband and I go a few times a year for specific reasons but we haven't taken the kids along. This time we want it to be a fun mini-vacation and also field trip. In history we are in the early modern era so we thought it would be fun to see a historic city. But there's so much! And I've never been a sightseer there. So where would you go? What would you do with your family? I have a few ideas, but I figured there have to be people on gcm who live in or love Savannah.

Fort Pulaski and the skidaway marine science center are my favorites. The train museum is really neat too (might fit well with your history).
Savannah is my hometown. |

Marine science center sounds fun, the kids really like ocean life. That's the second recommendation for fort Pulaski. Must be good, I have never heard of it :bag
---------- Post added at 10:59 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:57 AM ---------- The Marine science center, is that the UGA aquarium? I'm looking for it, just want to make sure I have the right one. Admission is really not as much as I would expect. |

Yes- the marine science center is run by UGA.
Fort pulaski is really neat. The change in war technology happened bc of it. |
