Do you know Jesus Christ?

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some Scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

Rom 3:23 :
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

Blessings,
Jacqueline

Do you know where you will spend eternity?

STEP 1 – GOD’S PURPOSE: PEACE & LIFE
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and abundant, eternal life

The Bible says …
“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” —Romans 5:1b (NKJV)

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish

but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16 (NKJV)

“I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” —John 10:10 (NKJV)

Why don’t most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

https://www.christianforums.com/prox...87ce29865ec996

STEP 2 – THE PROBLEM: OUR SEPARATION
God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and a freedom of choice. We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says …
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23 (NKJV)

Our Attempts to Reach God
People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God …

The Bible says …
“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
—Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV)

“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he

will not hear.” —Isaiah 59:2 (NJKV)

No bridge reaches God … except one.

https://www.christianforums.com/prox...831f1448dfad04

STEP 3 – GOD’S BRIDGE: THE CROSS
Jesus Christ died on the Cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says …
“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” —1 Timothy 2:5 (NKJV)

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.” —1 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)

”But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

God has provided the only way. Each person must make a choice.

https://www.christianforums.com/prox...693383d3d57d39

STEP 4 – OUR RESPONSE: RECEIVE CHRIST
We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation

The Bible says …
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” —Revelation 3:20 (NKJV)

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” —John 1:12 (NKJV)

“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” —Romans 10:9 (NKJV)

Where are you?
Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?
Here is how you can receive Christ:
1. Admit your need (I am a sinner).
2. Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
3. Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
4. Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior.)

This community is founded on the following
Quote:

Statement of Beliefs

Our Christian Beliefs

1. The Bible is the complete, infallible, inerrant, inspired written Word of God; it is the final authority on what a Christian is called to believe. We do not hold Church Tradition to be on equal footing with Scripture.
2. There is one God: He is of one essence yet He has existed eternally in three persons - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus, God in flesh who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, died on the cross and paid the penalty for our sins and rose again the third day.
4 We are sinners and could never be "good enough" to make it to heaven or to please God in any way, and, without Christ, we are enemies of God and destined for eternal punishment and separation from God. Romans 3:10, 11, 12; Romans 3:21-24; Jeremiah 17:9; Isaiah 64:6; Romans 6:23a
5. Salvation is a free gift from God, and we are not saved by our own works, but rather we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. His righteousness is credited to us and in Him we have assurance of salvation. Romans 6:23b; Ephesians 2:8, 9
6. Those who are saved have been given a new heart which desires to do His will and which loves Him above all else. II Corinthians 5:17; John 14:23; James 2:26
7. We embrace all members of the invisible Church.

.....
As a Christian community, I think you will find that you might actually be 'preaching to the choir'.

You might be blessed if you explore some of the forums we have here and see if there are any areas where our community might allow you to find fellowship with other Christian women as we seek to help eachother go deeper in our walk with Christ and as mothers.

Hi and welcome.

Are you using this forum for practice of your wording to share the Gospel clearly and succinctly?
Are you doing EE homework?
Are you wanting to get input on your tract? (Like, "the pictures are lovely and do a good job getting the point across" type thing?

Putting Admin Hat On

I have merged all 3 threads together since they are all essentially the same topic and the OP appears to be losing track of them, as she has not been responding to replies.

Re: Do you know where you will spend eternity?

Why are you spamming a Christian board with the Gospel? You sound like a bot or a troll at this point. We interact with each other here. We offer each other friendship and support. It's not a place to throw out information everyone here already knows and then never responding to your threads. Are you familiar with message board culture?

Re: Do you know Jesus Christ?

Her first thread from awhile ago seems to imply she already knows we are all believers.

It does end up giving a spammy impression when its not prefaced by some sort of human feel.

This is not a brand new thread. Why not at least reply and answer questions?
Oh well. Maybe she posted and hasn't been back to see any responses since. :shrug

She posted the same thing yesterday. HL merged the threads. Seems she is not actually interested in being a part of the community if she only posts to question our salvation. Maybe the admins should message her and see if she explains.
