Individual Loaves of Yeast Bread?
Sophia got some real baking dishes for Christmas and she is eager to use her very own tiny bread pan. I inherited a stack of these little pans from my MIL (not pretty enough to wrap up for Christmas, but functional), so together we can use up an entire batch of dough. Sophia has helped me bake before, but I have no idea how to make itty bitty loaves that turn out well. How does the final rising differ? The oven temperature? Baking time? What about mixing up just enough for a tiny loaf so that Sophia feels like she did something all by herself? Does anybody have conversion tips?

Did you try it yet?
I am afraid I am the type of baker that does not follow good instructions- I am a "fly by the seat of my pants" baker, and I don't time anything, I just sort of watch it and see when it smells and then looks done. :bag I would think that just when you get to the shaping phase of your dough, you would just shape it to fit in your pans and then when it has finished rising, bake it until it is golden and hollow sounding. Real helpful, huh? |
