I think I'm getting a cold sore!!
 

I haven't had a cold sore in about 20 years! Ugh! It's still very early (and it might just be a blemish) but what do you do if you think you're getting one? I put OnGuard oil on it last night (it's like Thieves) and I'll do oregano oil today.

I'll take extra D3, C, and K2. I don't think I have any zinc but I can get some, maybe tomorrow after church.

Lysine helps tremendously! Do it early and often. At least 1000mg per day.

The best thing I have ever found works for my cold sores is using a q-tip to apply rubbing alcohol on it several times a day. It helps dry it out more quickly, and it does seem to help with the itch and tingling as well.

Iirc, I had success with tea tree oil in a carrier. The dilution ratio escapes me however.

Not.crunchy, but I keep a bottle of plain aspirin and moisten a tablet and hold it on the tingly spot or sore to dry it out and make it go away faster. L Lysine is wonderful. So is abreva although it's expensive.

I’ve gotten tons of cold sores for Years. I’ve most successfully stopped them w thieves. I found that since starting daily thieves in my arm pits that I’ve stopped getting them as often. I think I’ve gotten maybe 1 the past 6-9 months. I wonder if it’s actually killed the dormant virus :think

Lysine wasn’t the miracle cure for me but I know many people swear by it cuz it works so well for them. I did years of lysine in diff forms (capsules, salves, drops and tinctures are the 4 I recall). I still got many and often and they lasted days to weeks depending on severity

Well, that's okay because I wouldn't follow it anyway. I eyeball things like that :lol

I didn't get to the HFS store so I'm just sticking with EOs for now. I remember, way back when, that I used rubbing alcohol and that dried them out quickly. So far, it's staying really, really small so I'm hoping that the EOs are working. If it gets bad I'll use rubbing alcohol. My bottle of aspirin is enteric coated so I don't think I could get it to work.
