Wordpress/Website Help

I've had a few different blogs hosted on my website and I want to combine them. But I'm not confident I know how to proceed. So I'm hoping I can get some help here. I've had good CS through my hosting company but I feel like such a nimnut asking them basic questions. :giggle

I've had them listed like:
www.mysite.com/blog1
www.mysite.com/blog2
www.mysite.com/blog3

I want to make blog3 my main site, so change it to www.mysite.com. And then I want to delete the others.

I've imported the posts & comments from the other ones to blog3. Can I now go into my hosting company's site (DreamHost) and delete blog1 and blog2? Or do I need to do something else first? And then what do I need to do go make blog3's addy go from www.mysite.com/blog3 to www.mysite.com?

If you follow the directions here...and then delete the ones you don't want then you'll get it the way you want it :-)

That link says to do those instructions for moving from a subdomain to a sub-directory (or vice versa). Is it the same for moving from a subdomain to a domain though?

Yep, pretty much.

As my husband is fond of saying, "Tricia, you know just enough about computers to accomplish things when all goes right...but not enough to dig yourself out when they don't!" :shifty Guess which one applies right now?! :giggle

Three hours later and I'm making progress. Site has been moved (I think :giggle) but my dashboard still doesn't look right and the individual pages within (like the theme editor page, etc.) isn't quite right.

Some day I'm going to hire myself my own webbie guru. My brain hurts too much to do it. :giggle
