input on soups for party

we're having a Christmas party this weekend, and are serving appys, soups and fresh bread. i'm making turkey soup and butternut squash soup. I was thinking of one more, and would like to use ingredeints I already have... I can list them later. any quick, yummy soups you can think of? not bean, though, most of the people coming aren't bean fans...

You have something brothy, and something bisque-y.
Maybe something creamy and chunky at the same time? Like potato or broccoli cheddar?

Potato soup with chunks of ham and swiss cheese in it is my new favorite!!!

We also love broccoli soup (include sauteed onions and grated carrots) with cheddar, a dash of cayenne pepper, and a splash of white wine. YUMMMM!!! Next time I may try adding shrooms because dh and I love them so much.

Or what about a tomato fennel or tomato basil soup with grated parm on top? :shrug

:hug it was really good. I did add sea salt and pureed it, 'creamy ' soups seem better pureed to me... but it gets a :tu

Me too! My favorite potato soup starts with mashed potatoes (I always start with instant)
Then add equal parts chicken broth & milk to make it the right consistency
Add garlic salt, celery salt & pepper to taste

Then add the fun stuff like a package of frozed cubed hashbrown potatoes, corn, ham or bacon. Chives...etc. Let it simmer for a while so all the flavors mix.

YUM and so easy!
