It's a graduate school trip with another university. She is studying Library Science and the theme of the trip is 'the Troubles', so they are looking at how libraries responded to the unrest, etc. She will be there for over three weeks. They are doing tons of side trips and staying at university housing at both Queens College and Trinity, where she plans to count the steps between 'where I sleep and where the Book of Kell sleeps':).

It's great that she can do this trip with a group of people as excited and invested in literature and libraries as she is. No 'balancing everyone's interest' the way you have to do with a family trip.

It was super hard to watch her go through TSA all alone (especially because the airport was chaos - when dh and I turned to leave after she passed through TSA and into the restricted area, there had to be 1500 people in line to clear. an that was just ONE of five lines)
