Trim Healthy Mamas Unite ;)
I was wondering if anyone else is doing THM? I thought it would be fun to do a trim healthy mama recipe swap! What are your go to recipes for a quick meal, what are your favorite desserts and what is your all time favorite dish?
Please leave a general recipe or the name of the recipe in the book. Also if it is in the first THM book or the new one. My favorite recipe is from the second THM book, the Swedish Meatballs. Oh my goodness are they delicious! My whole family, kids included love them. I serve them with mashed potatoes for everyone else and usually enjoy mine with some buttery veggies and salad. Yummy! I also really enjoy the Lime Shake in the second book, I can't drink a whole serving so usually split it with my hubby or kids. I add a huge handful of spinach since it only calls for 7 leaves. Yum! |

I'm here. Haven't made many of their recipes yet. Been on plan since Jan 10th.

I have 2 recipe-sized batches of Hello Cheese. Any favorite ways to use it?

Today I had my favorite salad. Greens, cucumbers and peppers (really whatever veggies I have carrots, celery... Whatever), feta, nuts (almonds this time), chunks of turkey breast and a little slices Apple topped with a homemade Italian vinaigrette. I think it falls in with deep S. ---------- Post added at 10:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:23 PM ---------- Quote:

Re: Trim Healthy Mamas Unite ;)
Sure! A friend of mine gave it to me and it is the best vinaigrette I've ever had. That's saying something considering I am not normally into vinaigrettes!
I leave the sugar out and it is perfect, you could use a THM sweetener though if preferred. I usually put my spices in a grinder or my mortar, it really does make a difference. This will make 2 batches. Italian Dressing 1 T garlic powder 1 T onion powder 1 T raw cane sugar 2 T dried oregano 1 t ground black pepper 1/4 t thyme 1 t dried basil 1 T dried parsley 1/4 t celery seed 3/4 T salt Tips - If some spices are not powdered, blend in coffee grinder or blender. If you don't have all the spices, don't worry. It tastes great anyway. : ) Mix all spices together and store in a tightly sealed container. To prepare - whisk 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup oil, 3 T water and 2 T dry mix. |
