My cactus flowers!
 

I'm so excited! They take weeks to bloom and 24 hours to fade.

Wow those are amazing! The bloombs seem like they are way too big compared to the cactus. I neaver would have guessed that they get that big.

They came with the house, which we bought in 1994. They didn't bloom until last year at this time. Last year I got 2 blooms off of the same cactus right about a year ago. They did not open together, though. I don't know what caused them to suddenly start blooming, maybe the height. This time 3 of them flowered, all at the same time.

They are so pretty!

Our neighbor just had one of his big agave plants bloom and it was equally incredible. We noticed a lot of slow traffic from others stopping to look too.
