I have about 30 min. left to use my laptop...
 

I am not sure whether it is the power cord, or the part it gets plugged into, but it has been having problems with charging for awhile. Now today, it will no longer charge at all. :cry I do have another computer, but the kids use it a lot and it is not going to be fun trying to get on the computer when they are playing a game. SIGH! I am not sure how much it is going to cost to repair, but I am so bummed.

:( I've BTDT with laptops and power cords. :sigh I hope there is a quick and inexpensive fix in your *near* future!! :hug2

We just recently had power cord issues with a laptop. It finally "died" after the power source on the laptop itself was pushed in and off to the side within the laptop itself. It's why the powercord could never stay connected right. We need to bring it to geeksquad or something to have it looked at.

is it a Dell by chance? and do you have a warranty? I got a whole new computer (the one I'm on) because they had to come out and repair that issue on my old one 3 times :doh

It is an HP and unfortunately well past the warranty. My sweet dh went and bought me a power cord last night. It wasn't cheap, but I have my laptop back!! :)

So it was just the power cord?

Really, it's good that the problem was something simple and something not even connected to the machine itself (as in, the hole for the plug, or the internal power supply).

No kidding! I was worried that the hole for the plug was the problem. I was very relieved when the new power cord worked perfectly!
