Meals to eat with chopsticks
 

As part of trying to work ot in to every day life I am trying to have one meal a week that we eat with chop sticks.

What are your favorites?

Almost anything can be eaten with chopsticks if you want. Noodles, teriyaki or stir fry or shoyu anything. General tsos or sesame chicken. Fried rice. Grilled teriyaki chicken and pineapples and bell peppers.

My DH frequently uses chopsticks with everything. Noodles, eggs, rice, chicken, broccoli, etc... Chopsticks can also be used to whisk scrambled eggs. I learned that from watching Tasty Japan videos on YouTube.

TWo of my kids use them more than forks- so anything. The easiest is going to be bite sized things that are easy to pick up. The hardest is rice and scrambled eggs- so feel free to eat those the chinese way with chopsticks. You lean your mouth down close tonthe plate and use the chopsticks more as a shovel!

Dumplings are my fave. I think it makes them taste better.

My dd regularly eats frozen berries with chopsticks.

When I was in fourth grade we were assigned to report on another county. I can't remember which Asian country we chose but my partner (who would become my best friend) is Korean-American so perhaps it was Korea. Anyway, we realized we didn't have any food for the display we put together, so we grabbed whatever was in our lunch bags for the bowls. Our teacher asked us to demonstrate using the chop-sticks - which I choose to see as a misstep and not an teasing attempt to embarrass us. Clearly my friend had it covered. To prove I could hold my own, I chose to eat the grapes with the chop sticks and gave my teacher a bit of look as I did.

So yes, anything, even grapes
