Does anyone know how to prepare raw cacao seeds?
 

I got a cacao fruit as a gift. Don’t want to ruin it. I’m not super picky about what we make it into as long as it tastes good. Pinterest and google aren’t helping.

I've only ever eaten it by breaking the fruit open and eating the soft white part, then spitting out the seeds. It was years ago, so my memory is vague, but I do remember the fruit being delicious.

I found a recipe. No experience though.

Other sites insisted the beans need to be fermented. Or gave recipes for using raw cacao in powdered form. :shrug

We figured out we could roast them, peel them, and make a drink with powdered sugar and almond milk. So good!
