Who are you?
Such a simple question but such a deep answer. I am a mom, wife, kids are growing almost grown or grown, I am a grandma so many labels that define me. Set me apart from so many people and join me to others.

Re: Who are you?
I was listening to the audio version of 'beholding and becomming'. I have been listening to it when I goo to sleep so I haven't gotten all of.it and definitely don't know enough to recommend it but it was asking some of these questions in the part I was listening to last night.

I want to answer this but when I have a quiet moment. Let's see how long that takes to materialize. :lol |
Re: Who are you?
I remember seeing this a while back and starting to think about it and my first answer was I am a human but it felt like there was something missing in that definition. Then it hit me.
I am a person. For some reason the word person feels like it includes my inner self more and my individual purpose. All the other words like wife, mother, daughter, teacher etc. feel like they describe what I do more than who I am. |
Re: Who are you?
I am enough. Just the way I am.

Re: Who are you?
This is a lovely thread.
I don't want to participate though since it's public. I think that makes me afraid? |
Re: Who are you?
I feel like my roles vary depending on where I'm putting my energy at the time. Right now I'd say I'm a partner, a supporter, because I'm doing a lot of that lately. A lot of who I am centers on how I interact with others and not my own intrinsic self. I'm a mother, a grandmother, a partner. I'm autistic, queer, polyamorous. I'm a daughter, and what that looks like has changed dramatically over a short period of time. I like to think I'm a helper, a soft spot and respite for others.

Re: Who are you?
There are roles that I have like teacher, wife, mother, daughter, friend etc but those roles are not who I am. Who I am is what I bring to those roles I have.

Re: Who are you?
I'm a super high energy, optimistic, fun-loving, artistic mom of 4 kiddos who are my world. I work a lot, but sets my own hours, leading a very large team of people. I've been happily married for almost 20 years and we both just thoroughly enjoy life and having fun! I love music and would go to a concert daily if I could. Creativity is a need and if I neglect it I start to feel down. I love Jesus and serving my community is a big priority for me.
