Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I've made a few, but I need better ideas. I just requested the Gilbert cookbook from the library, and I'm going to check out these links tomorrow. Salmon and asparagus sounds good!

They do shallow-ish roasting dishes so I think that would be my next thing. Yes dovenoir I cook my recipe I shared above in a glass or ceramic dish normally. I have an oven tray for Swiss roll (never used it for that) but I think it's a tad too shallow. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
The theory looks amazing, but I'm not sure on the application just simply due to size. I struggle to envision being able to put enough food on one roasting pan for my family. :think
I roast veggies regularly, and it takes the whole pan to just do those. :think But maybe I eat an irregular amount of roasted veggies for dinner.... Which could very well be true. :shifty :giggle I'd love to see some pictures of the actual dinners on the pan for anyone who is willing to share. |
Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
:cup I've done it once, but would like to try more variations.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I love these ideas! I'm trying to do more meals that I can do prep work on during the weekend to make them easy to get in the oven after work. A lot of these could be done that way (just put in baggies in the fridge and then dump in sheet pan). I would need 2 sheet pans to feed my family, but have a convection feature on my oven, so I think it's doable.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I love this idea too! I also can use a whole 9x13 pan for vegetables, especially since you don't want them all on top of each other.
Does this need to be one of the metal sheet pans, like a cookie sheet, but with edges? Shallow and large? I don't have any like that- just 9x13 glass and metal pans. They probably aren't that expensive. Hmmm... I need to come back to this and get recipes! |
Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
Yes I also thought about making ahead and doing the Baggie method.

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I think a big part of my pain is that we have a wall oven that came with this house when we bought it and it's on the smaller size. :( So I am limited with how big of a sheet I can fit in there.
Makes me super sad. I fantasize about a commerical size oven. :heart |
Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
I saw this today. It's Thanksgiving for 4 on two sheet pans! :jawdrop

Re: Sheet Pan Dinners
Amazing! Might see how I can adapt that idea! Not sure my oven works well with 2 racks in use though.
Maybe we will move and I will have another one by Christmas. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

I saw a sheet pan dinner on FB a while back. I shared it on FB. Then I forgot when or where. I keep forgetting I can save links. but then even if I do save them, I forgot that I saved them....:giggle ---------- Post added at 06:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:56 PM ---------- Quote:
