Brief freak out moment
Early bird has taken two years of lower level latin at our coop.
Her teacher was talking last class about how if you are in 7th grade that you can move straight to the highschool latin class that she teaches. And I had a realization that I need to upp my record keeping if Early Bird is going to be taking courses for 'real' highschool credit next year. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

You can't get hs credit here until you're in high school.

Don't freak out! It's a good thing! You've got this!
My "records" consist of writing down what they take every year. That's about it. And sometimes I remember to put a grade on it. [emoji38] Not one single college my son applied to asked what he did for any of the classes on his transcript. I gave him credit for algebra 1 and physical science taken in 8th grade and listed it as such. Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk |
Re: Brief freak out moment
All you have to do is note how many semesters she took. Add in a letter grade or pass/fail. You've got this!

It wasn't much of a freak out, but it did kind of sick me because no have still been thinking about how highschool is a 'long way off' and it really isn't.

I am from Texas, but I don't know if we will ever move back. The Washington laws are a nice in between the lack of everything in Texas and the strick observations in Vermont. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

Will those be listed as taken in 8th grade on his transcript? Are those outsourced classes? My oldest is in public high school but I think at least one of my younger kids will homeschool high school so I am starting to try and figure all of this out. (Nevermind.... I just read your earlier post that answered my question lol) |
Re: Brief freak out moment
I hadn't really thought of things going on her transcript yet, but the teacher was talking about it. Locally they can start taking highschool classes in 7th grade. They can also start running start collage classes in 11th grade.
