I didn't know how to word that intro
My DD is having a family get together for her birthday tonight. I had planned salad, with marinated chicken. Then I ran into issues with my sister's family's allergies, so I decided to go with tacos. This morning is turns out DD really wants salad
So... the biggest issue is how to actually prepare/marinate chicken.
My sister's family can't have soy, dairy, nuts, gluten, eggs, or garlic. I think I can fudge the garlic, cause that kid won't eat the chicken. I don't have a lot of time to marinade now, because the party is tonight. Do I throw together a marinade of ... like... olive oil, lemon juice, and... maybe something else, and go with that? Should I just cook the chicken in something?
I am running on fumes and my brain has stopped, and DH is a better cook than I am, but I'm on food duty for a while cause of his medical stuff. I feel like this is a dumb question, but I am all kinds of confused about the best thing to do
