okay, so one of my first baby sitting jobs in Jr high was for two MKs who grew up in Brazil (two differnt families which is why they got married and had babies together, ftr) they ALL slept in hammocks, even the 3-months-old-at-the-time baby. I once had the baby sleeping laying on my chest in her nursery. I could have easily fallen asleep like that.

I've frequently dreamed about using hammocks since then.

There are camping solutions for the cold air circulating around the hammock

putting blankets inside the hammock doesn't do much good because the weight of your body compresses them and reduces the heat holding capacity. So folks use things like sleeping bags that go around the outside/underside of the hammock.

All that research i did about how to hike the Appalachian trails is finally coming in handy
