Re: What easy-to-use medicinal plants can I grow?
Indoors or out?
If you get aloe, try not to get the whorled kind. The leaves are huge and it doesn't self-propagate. I'm blanking on the correct term for the kind with smaller leaves that does self-propagate but it's not whorled. If you ask on Facebook for aloe starts that would be the right kind.
I'd start by finding out what medicinal plants are native to your region and start with those. They'll grow easily and spread.
I harvest red raspberry leaves for tea. We have loads of wild St Johns Wort which makes a great drawing salve.
