Our dr recommends a week, and that's generally what i tend to go with, as most viral stuff tends to be done in 4-5 days tops, although we did have one that lasted a full 7 days but the kids did not have any associated symptoms with the fever.

ETA I don't think I'd do ER unless she is having a hard time catching her breath/etc but being a holiday weekend I'd probably call the on call dr tomorrow if she still feels crummy and see what they suggest (urgent care vs wait til tues).
