cabbage and potato gratin
My family actually ate it and my dh, who usually won't touch cabbage with a ten foot pole, declared that it was delicious and very uncabbage-like!
I sliced up half a head of cabbage, cubed some potatoes, added some sliced onions and poured a homemade white sauce mixed with cheddar cheese over the top, then sprinkled some breadcrumbs on top. Baked at 350 for about 45 min. or so.
