So, this isn't really an answer to your question But I freeze broth in ice cube trays and then pop them into bags. I freeze almost everything in ice cube trays (beans too)

I also use the 8, 12 and 16 oz (pint) jars with perfectly straight sides. That way, you can put them in warm water briefly and they will slide out.
