They're both commonly used for yeast....though again, I would never ever recommend them on raw skin undiluted, especially in sensitive areas, like on hemorrhoids or vaginally.
I would think twice even diluted, lol.
I know some people blame yeast on everything...bad gut flora and all...so maybe that's what they're thinking for a cause of constipation?? But a topical application wouldn't help digestion, and orally taking essential oils is generally not recommended (remembering that oils don't mix with water, so again, you'd need to dilute WITH OIL and would need to know how much, to avoid damaging the digestive tract). And then, even assuming that you got that far safely, both of those have antibacterial properties in addition to antifungal...so they'd be killing off your gut flora while killing off the yeast.
I don't really think that's a likely cause for constipation and hence contributing to hemorrhoids, but if trying out that theory, I'd think that simply taking probiotics would be a ton more safe and effective. I think large doses of probiotics do cause looser stools...I think I have heard people actually complain about that side effect when trying to start on probiotics too rapidly without waiting for their bodies to adjust. It's probably worth a try, with probiotics, that is. Not with oils.
