Default Re: Do you have a summer schedule/routine/rhythm?

I swore, never again, and we've schooled year round ever since. We're super laid back about it, and I am much more willing to BE laid back when I know that it all averages out. We make sure that school is following their interests and learning styles, so it's not at all a "burden" on them. In fact now, when people ask "don't you get a summer break?" they're just confused . . . so I'd stop reading the books I love to read and stuff in the summer? why? (year round, if they start to burn out on a specific subject, they set it aside for a few days or weeks, as needed and then jump back in, refreshed from their break). . . .Obviously, over the years, routines and schedules have changed, but it means we make changes when they're needed, not arbitrarily twice a year. I wouldn't have it any other way!
This is what my experience has been this past year when I tried to take brakes, it was horrible.
