we have a non-working oven, so everything I need to "cook" is done in a crock pot. I use one of mine at least four times aweek, usually seven!
If you want to make something like lasagna, remember that all the moisture youwould normally bake out is going to stay IN. So until you're used to it, don't add very much moisture at first and check it often.
When I make lasagna, I use uncooked noodles, and extra sauce. Then I use a bit more cheese and I *might* need to add a little bit of water around the edges to keep them from being crunchy and making sure they cook, kwim?
I also make all my dried beans in the crock. It's gotta be the easiest way to soak and cook them!
I make a mixed grain breakfast often, that you throw in the night before, too. With a great breakfast you can go for hours without being hungry.
