I didn't see this thread before (I need to use the "new posts" feature more.
) but I've been decluttering here so I might as well join in. I don't understand how we still have so. much. stuff! I get rid of stuff every single year, yet I still have so much to get rid of. I have not been very good at stopping the flow in.
Anyways, I've been going by category. I'm getting rid of things more slowly than I'd love but not sure how to change that with current situation. I've released some really challenging things (baby items.) So I'm proud of that.
I have a professional organizer I work with every now and then. I want to get things back at least to what they were last time she was here so I can have her back without feeling too embarrassed.
I wanted to make that 1000 things chart to fill out but our printer is on the fritz. Maybe I'll have DH print it at work.
I'm so motivated by numbers.
A lot of the stuff I'm "decluttering" are actually "use it or lose it" projects. I have things I have acquired that I actually want to use but haven't in forever... A lot of it is craft stuff. I created through a lot of my stash at Christmas for or homemade Christmas.
I plan to make a LOT more. Mostly things for Operation Christmas child.
.... The other "use it or lose it" category is food. The pantry and freezer.
Other things just legitimately need to go. I'm posting to local free groups. Whatever doesn't go by some point will get dropped of at a shelter or thrift shop.
