Thanks for the granola bar recipe! I made it tonight and my boys love it!

I cut back on the salt cause we're watching our blood pressure, threw in a handful of sunflower seeds, used half dates/half raisins, and used Canola oil in place of the veg. oil since we have soy allergies... also greased the pan with Canola oil. They are super yummy!

My 3yo was eating it enthuesiastically, and then he got this strange, concerned expression on his face... "are you sure.. ?" he started off in a very small voice.... [I thought I knew where he was going, but I waited...] "Mommy, are you sure there are no nuts in here?"

He's very much allergic. I assured him and told him I made it myself. He wanted to know what WAS in them so I listed all the ingredients for him and then he seemed satisfied. Next time I'll let him help make them so he can see for himself.
