Then I'd try a balanced fertilizer and a cool room.
I didn't know this until now but I just read you're not supposed to cut off the stem of the spent bloom.

I have:
Washington navel orange (lives outside in summer)
Meyer lemon (outside in summer)
heirloom geraniums (also outside in summer)
aloes
ball cactus, can't remember the actual name
lots of spider plants
Christmas cactus
asparagus fern
And one I haven't identified but it's doing so awesome in low light in dh's office. I need to split it.
I had a candelabra succulent but my cats killed it.
