Re: Kitchen sink: single or double basin
I've always had a standard double before this house we are in. This one has a huge single basin - much more countertop space than a standard double basin, though not any deeper than a standard sink. The faucet is wall mounted, so it feels deeper than it is, which is awesome. I LOVE this sink. We do not have a dishwasher.
We use a plastic dishpan that we set in the sink to hold soapy water when washing (or dirty dishes waiting to be washed) and have a dish rack on the counter next to the sink. This way, it functions the same as a double basin, but we have flexibility.
