So, I've been taking ballroom dance lessons for a year and a half, and I have the chance to dance a waltz in a showcase at the end of March. I can't justify spending the $200-600 dollars on a dress I will have to alter to fit me anyway, so I'm thinking about sewing one. I thought I'd share so
if when I run into problems, I can get creative solutions from y'all
I'll try and add photo updates if I can get my camera working again.
So, for step 1, I made a duct tape dressform of myself (With a ton of help from my sister

Step 2 includes combining two different bodice patterns, plus design my own neckline on a test model made out of a bedsheet for the torso/lining leotard.
Anybody done this? something similar? Am I completely nuts? (
