Has anyone on here actually used that H2H site? I was thinking of contacting them for consult, but was just curious what experiences were here.

Hello,
I am a bit confused since that last time I heard in my church's pew was that homeopathy was evil and from the devil and it shouldn't be used . What are your thoughts about this? did you ever come across this opinion? thank you |

What passages did the church use to support this belief? Were the verses taken out of context? What did you study to determine if the idea was correct or not?

For example, the ones I am taking for healing my thyroid and restoring hormonal balance are from different plants and herbs diluted with water X amount of times and are in a carrier of alcohol I think from beets? I take eight drops twice a day, not getting me inebriated or anything. The theory behind it is that the substances used have healing properties (no different than using spices in your meals or eating fruit or other plants, all stuff which God designed for our nutrition and health) which mimic your body's symptoms enough to trigger the body to heal. The dilutions are kind of imprinting the energy from the substances into the energy of water, and the water has a "memory" so to say to hold the energy and contain it even after all the times it has been diluted. (Hopefully that made sense, I'm still kinda new to this and haven't really explained it before, hehe)I have not come across that homeopathy is from the devil, but more that it doesn't work, that it's "just water" and doesn't do anything, that it's all in the head, a psychosomatic effect. It might be the talk of "energy" that has your pastor concerned, as that kind of language is very big in pagan/mystical/etc circles which can get a bit woowoo and new age. But strictly speaking, homeopathy deals with plain old energy that every object around you has. Water, plants, herbs, other things from nature.. this is all from God, and the science behind homeopathy is using the things made by God and working them together. I read once that homeopathy was widely used in the US before synthetic, man-made (re: more expensive!) drugs started coming on the scene. I would encourage you to research a bit on it yourself if you are interested, and of course keep in prayer and be discerning about what you find. If you are close to the pastor who said this, maybe even talk to him about it and find out why he believes this. If it's not something you are comfortable with, by all means, that is your decision and right, but definitely don't just take someone's word for it. Who knows, maybe he hasn't even read anything about it just made a passing comment based on an assumption he has or something he has heard inaccurately from someone else. I think my real question would be why is homeopathy being discussed from the pulpit??? lol. Surely he could find more important issues in the Christian life to preach on

I would ask the pastor why he holds that view and ask him to explain his understanding if homeopathy. I'm guessing he doesn't understand what it is and the theory of how it works. Herbalist were burned at the stake for being witches in this country not that long ago. If people don't understand something, especially if it works, some just assume they're harnessing the power of evil. I cannot think of a single verse in the Bible that even hints at the notion that Satan's powers can heal people. I think that far too many Christians ascribe powers to Satan that he doesn't have, actually. We have more power than Satan does, one word from us in Jesus' name sends him flying.
