Re: What are you eating in November?
Happy Birthday, knitlove! (I hope you get a No Complaints Dinner for your birthday! It sounds delicious! What's not to love about pumpkin custard?)
We usually have homemade pizza on Sunday nights. (But it's dh's turn this week, so we'll see if it happens!)

Re: What are you eating in November?
Yep. When our youngest was about 3 we had to ban the use of the words "misgusting" and "hideous" at the dinner table.
As he got older, it shifted to: a polite no thank you is fine - anything that sounds like meritless complaining or lack of gratitude for someone else preparing your meal, e.g., before even tasting, will be viewed as volunteering to do all clean up after the meal. He got very good, very quickly, about thinking before freaking out about dinner. * * * * * ETA: Totally forgot to add tonight's dinner: cheese tortellini in a homemade alfredo sauce with garlic lemon shrimp for those who enjoy that and a caesar salad. ---------- Post added at 05:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:41 PM ---------- And Happy Birthday, Knitlove!!! |

Re: What are you eating in November?
Happy Birthday, knit love! I hope your dinner was pleasant. If not, that you had a joyous day anyway.
Tonight was soup. I got my Hungry Harvest box on Friday, and it took so long to wash and prep everything. (sometimes I just wash it all and put it in the fridge, but this week I knew these things needed to be chopped). Since I did the work on Friday, tonight's soup went together like a breeze.

Re: What are you eating in November?
Last night was fish (with rice and sweet potatoes)
Tonight is Mexican corn bread IF I can get green chilis on my way home from work. Meijer was completely out (and nearly out of TP!) but I have my mid-week Kroger run after work.

(Also, I've used fresh jalapenos in cornbread and last night used dh's dried peppers from our garden. They were all good.) We had crock pot chili and rice cooker rice last night. And cornbread muffins. I hardly feel like I cooked dinner. I think I put roast chicken and root vegetables on the menu for tonight.
