best rolling pin?
i need a new rolling pin. something super heavy, but also as cheap as possible.

I don't know about the best but marble rolling pins are heavy and only cost around $10. Flour doesn't stick to them though.

I also really like marble. I got ours at a yardsale, but I don't think they're expensive anywhere.

Mine is either marble or granite, not sure which but it is great.

I love love LOVE my granite rolling pin. But there are two cons.
1) They can break. After having it for 3 years I finally dropped it on the tile floor and cracked the end off 2) Dome people suggest keeping it in the freezer for pastries. But it's so humid where I live that the cold rolling pun instantly condensates and ruins pie crust. So for me it works better at room temperature. There is still nothing like granite I got it off Amazon for around $12 I think. |
