~*~ Autumn Home Blessing Challenge ~*~ Points thread, Week ONE
Welcome to the Autumn Home Blessing Challenge! The purpose of this challenge is to help us encourage one another in our homemaking/blessing/keeping. I'm trying to make it as customisable as possible because no two families are the same.
Each week will run Saturday to Saturday for my score-keeping purposes, but if you feel better organising your week a different way feel free, just add your scores in where you can. For the newbies; below you will find a list of household tasks with points assigned to them. You can post below to save your 'spot' and keep updating your post with your scores for each day. At the end of the week, add up your scores and post them in bold You also have the option of selecting two new habits you would like to get into, which you can put in your post for accountability. Each time you 'do your habit' earns you points. This could be a skin care routine, remembering to clean up as you cook, anything you like. At the end of each week, I'll announce the weekly winner. You get the privilege of adding "Winner of the Week x home blessing challenge" to your siggy if you so desire At the end of the seasonal challenge, I will announce the over all winner. These threads are meant to be uplifting and encouraging. They are not for beating yourself up if you haven't accomplished as much as somebody else. Every one of us is in a different stage in life, with different kids, different health and different circumstances. If you are struggling, feel free to just compete with yourself Most ladies find the easiest way to keep track is to print out the list and use a tally system in different colours as they go through their day, but run with whatever works for you I will start a separate thread where we can add our to do lists each day and run the 5 minute challenges (See how much you can accomplish with a 5minute timer). I'm going to experiment with having one thread that we update each day for a week to avoid clogging up the board too much. We'll see how that works this week and make changes as we go along. If anybody has any comments or ideas on points changes etc let me know. Daily Chores: Spiritual/Emotional 10 Min Quiet Time - 10 minutes of what ever sustains you spiritually. Re: ~*~ Autumn Home Blessing Challenge ~*~ Points thread, Week ONE
I want to do this. It was super helpful for me last fall. We had homeschool co-op this morning though and I am tired out so I don't know what I will get done, but definitely working on it tomorrow.

Re: ~*~ Autumn Home Blessing Challenge ~*~ Points thread, Week ONE
I am going to put my printed sheets in a plastic sleeve, and then tally points while ds is playing soccer this afternoon. He alternates on and off the field so I'll tally when he isn't playing. I like to be the crazy mom who cheers when her kid scores or makes a good move.

Re: ~*~ Autumn Home Blessing Challenge ~*~ Points thread, Week ONE
I have a dental appointment today that will really cut into things but, before I go, I need to do the following:
Get everyone dressed Pack lunch for the kids Start the washer Hang up some the clothes that need to be put away. When I get back: Switch the laundry wash dishes Do school with DD (Spelling, handwriting and math) School with DS (Handwriting, Math and reading) My first major goal is to clean my craft room. All the toys are piled in there right now. I need to do a serious purge and get rid of a ton of things.
