I noticed we dont have any points set up for meal prep. Shall we add that in? I know meal prep is a major part of the day for some of us.

Opinions on how to structure it? Per meal? Or by time spent? How many points is it worth?

I was just thinking about this. I need motivation to cook. I think time spent is a good way to go.

On another note this thread has already gotten me to take care of several things I have been avoiding/ignoring. It's funny how these magical points work.

Toilet and sink/surround are listed under daily because they tend to need doing more than the rest I find There is no limit so if you need to clean them 3 times a day you claim points for each time. I'm the only female using our toilet; I feel your pain

I'm going to add food prep points; 10points per 5 minutes sound fair? To make it even we'll start counting from Thursday without adding back points and then as them to the general list on Saturday? This includes meal prep, baking and freezer meal prep. It includes any time you are actively working on the food Inc babysitting the stove but not baking time unattended in the oven when you can attend to other things. Any questions?

I need to find my list to get my points totaled for yesterday and start logging today's points.

I'm going to make a few adjustments to the list for next week to clarify some points so nobody print it off until I start tomorrow's thread

I'm clocking out at 9.45pm with a total of 5631 for the week

How did everyone find the first week?

I'm done for the night. I missed Saturday and Sunday and didn't do much on Monday. My total for the week is 2,935. I know I got more done this week than I have in a while though. My laundry baskets are pretty empty, and I got a few things done that I have been avoiding for a long time.

It was a pretty good week. I started late, so I didn't really keep track of points. That's okay though. I'm getting stuff done.

Week 1 total-3910

A couple of questions about the big project. Can it be done multiple times throughout the season, and if it's only once, can it have it's points increased significantly? An hour of food prep is worth more points and I could use point incentive to get my big project(s) done.

This is a good point What does everyone else think? If you have more than one big project definitely claim points for each one. I guess in my brain I was thinking you could claim points under the appropriate category for time spent and then have the 100 as a bonus but I can see how that wouldn't work for some projects, and I understand hindsight that yes 100 points could be seriously underestimating depending on the job.

Maybe a points per time spent so it ends up being relevant to the size of the job?

Id love input on this
