Default ~*~ Autumn HBC To Do/5minute challenge thread ~*~ Week 3+

Seeing as there aren't too many of us playing I thought we'd try a 2-weekly thread to avoid clogging the board up to much.

I'm going to run this thread until either it gets too long or confusing, or until the end of the challenge when I will start a new one.

Saturday is a busy day for us and I have a few things that need catching up on chore wise too.

~ Swish and swipe upstairs toilet
~ Dark load laundry
~ Breakfast and meds
~ Dishwasher and sink
~ Kids ready for the day

~ Vacuum and mop floors downstairs
~ Finish putting away clutter from landing
~ Clean out guinea pigs
~ Empty upstairs bins
~ Dust and tidy playroom
~ Dry dark load
~ Fold and put away load from airer
~ Hoover and mop upstairs
~ Figure out chore chart with BB
~Pack up the pram and get them back up the loft
~Lunch
~ Shower
At some point in this lot DH will go to slimming world and the tip
~go with DH to optician.
~ library
~ Go to the park with the kids and the dog
~ Make dinner

~ Knit!

That looks ambitious. I don't know if it will happen. But anything that doesn't make it can roll over onto Sunday.

Default Re: ~*~ Autumn HBC To Do/5minute challenge thread ~*~ Weeks 3&4

I think 2 weeks at a time is fine. Even having just one thread for the whole thing would be fine IMO.

I've been busy. I'll up where I left off yesterday.

I got all the grocery shopping done. I tried a new to us German store yesterday. I found a great deal on ground beef.

Started working on DD's halloween costume.
Put all the groceries away
Cleaned half bath down stairs

Today:
Cleaned DD's room ( complete with vacuum)
Started laundry
DD mopped upstairs bathroom

Still to do:
Wash dishes
Sweep
mop
continue laundry
finish cleaning bathroom
general pick up of kitchen and living areas
Start bulk cooking

Hubby comes home today!!!!!

Because today is Saturday and I never know what's going to happen. I think I will just do five minute challenges today (maybe a couple 15 min ones too) and see what gets done. I know I can probably dust in five minutes but I have been avoiding it so that's up first.

---------- Post added at 11:00 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:06 AM ----------

So I started with 5 min and restarted the timer five times.

Made bed
Tidied nightstand
Put away receipts
Hung up a couple shirts
Dusted living room and dining room
Washed dishes (I finished this after the last timer went off but I didn't bother to reset the timer.)

Managed to wrack up 1615 points today! 180 of which were tidying up points for the kitchen and playroom.

Plan for Sunday
Everybody up, breakfasted, and dressed
Pets fed
Kitchen cleaned up
Ready to leave at 11 for my niece's party

Not sure if we'll be home before or after dinner, so the rest of the day hinges on that, but the rest just rolls over really
~Clean out guinea pigs
~ Empty upstairs bins
~ Dust and tidy playroom
~ Fold and put away laundry
~ Figure out chore chart with BB
~Pack up the pram and get them back up the loft
~Make egg muffins for DH to take to work for breakfast
~School planning
~ put up art wire and picture wire

Today was all about my kids having friends over. The house was welcoming and tidy when everyone arrived, and now I need to finish up the dinner dishes. Later I will have to do a quick tidy of the rec. room, but boys are still up there being entertained by the tv.

Happy Monday!

I couldn't get out of bed on time today so we had a slow start. I'm trying out a switch up of our routine so after breakfast we headed out to walk the dog and play on the playground a little. We had lunch and now I'm nursing the baby down for his nap and then we'll do school, then quiet time (ie knitting time for mommy) and then hopeful squeeze some chores in before baby wakes up. I'd like to get done;

~Kitchen clean up and wipe down of counters, cupboards and appliances, Inc inside microwave and fridge
~Thorough clean of sink and toilet. And wipe down of all surfaces in the bathroom
~Gather up all the towels and cleaning cloths and get those through the washer and hung up to dry
~ Put the nappy load on the airer
~Pick up and sweep playroom at the end of the day

I worked this morning, have a lot of driving to do for kids' lessons/work, and I'm plain exhausted from a weekend full of company. Because of all the visitors my house is almost in top form but that comes at a price. Today I've managed to do two loads of laundry, and decided to start a thorough cleaning of my kitchen. I've broken my kitchen into four zones, and I just need to clean out the fridge to have my first zone done I'm decluttering cupboards and wiping down everything, inside and out. One of my cupboards in Zone 1 holds medicine so I also took note of what needs to be replenished (hooray for points for that challenge ).

The first load of laundry is in, another waiting in front of the machine, and after I drive my dk to school I will collect the rest.

I have to do some work for my psychology class later this morning but I will alternate bursts of tidying and laundry flipping when I need study breaks. I work this afternoon, but the prep has already been done for that.
