Re: What do you freeze, and how, and why
-lots of freezer to crock pot meals I've made (to reduce process foods when I'm working)
-lentil loaf (I always double the recipe when I make it to freeze some) -individually wrapped pieces of home made cake (cus sometimes you need chocolate now!) -humongous bag of Costco chocolate chips -pureed pumpkin from the fall -recently ran out of last year's vegan girl scout cookies. Wasn't able to find a girl scout to buy more from this year. -TONS compostable kitchen scraps so I can bring them to my friends compost pile. I live in an apartment so I don't have one right now. I store in large bags then bring over 1-2x a month -breast milk to donate -a jar of my left over placenta capsules that I'm not sure what I'll do with. Re: What do you freeze, and how, and why
I store all kinds of stuff in the freezer, and it's different whether we're in the U.S. or overseas, but a few things I didn't see anyone else list:
Very-to-over-ripe bananas in their peels - when you want to bake with bananas (like banana bread, muffins, etc.) you just let them thaw, snip off the end, and squish the banana out. Brown/palm sugar - keeps it from turning into lumps. It will turn into one giant lump, but 30 seconds in the microwave will give you nice soft sugar.

Re: What do you freeze, and how, and why
I thought of something else, I freeze apple cores, and half eaten apples. When the bag is full I cook them down into apple sauce.
