Re: What are you eating in October?
Tonight was salmon patties with Mac n cheese and carrot sticks
I've gotten lazy about getting meals prepared and have spent too much on fast food lately. So lm making a list of around 25 or so meals I can do and am planning my grocery around it. It will cover at least two meals a day for about two weeks our time between pay. Simple meals like cereal, fruit smoothies a quick tv dinner or left overs or a once or twice meal on the go will cover the rest. It's a fairly tight budget list of anyone wants to see. (Around $200 of groceries for two weeks including household basics and let food).

Re: What are you eating in October?
We were d.o.n.e. with turkey (Canadian thanksgiving was this past weekend so a day or two of leftovers ) so I made a shepherd's pie that simmers the meat, veggies and sauce all day in the crockpot. I added whipped up mashed potatoes and a little grated cheese then broiled it for about 5 minutes. The house smelled so good.
And it wasn't turkey. |

Re: What are you eating in October?
Ds 17 said he would like roasted hot dogs for dinner after his splint appointment this afternoon. So, here we are. He got the fire pit going and we are having hot dogs, french fries and pepper slices.

Most meals include side veggies fruit or both decided at time of meal. I spent $240 for the above plus basic house hold and pet care. I'll need to top off a bit of fresh produce and dairy before next pay. Groceries also include some basic staples like cereal. Etc to fill in the rest.

We're having onion-smothered pot roast tonight in the IP. Probably with mashed potatoes for Littlest. Still have to figure out veggies.
