Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
I use my 'kitchen sizers' for all sorts of things. They are my go to thing for cutting up kid food, often they go to the table with me. I love that I can toss them in the dishwasher.

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
Shears are a good idea! I cut meat on our non-plastic plates that go in the dishwasher.

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
Wusthof kitchen shears - this is the newest pair that we have. They are only a couple of years old so I'm nut sure if they will last any longer. I noticed there are a number of well rated options that are cheaper.

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
Wusthof is a great brand - my Wusthof knives are 17 years old and still in great shape. I'd imagine the shears would have decent longevity.

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
With our previous shears, it was the plastic on the handle that fell apart. These have plastic too, so time will tell....

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
I bought an Epicurean, and I love it so far! Cleans really well!

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
I'd love to hear more! So it's wood but somehow not porous and/or disinfectable? Are you comfortable enough to use it to cut meat and throw it in the dishwasher?
I still really want a new system.

Re: Favorite Cutting Board?
Yes, it is wood but not porous. My knives do leave marks, but it hasn't seemed to dull them any. I haven't tried putting it in the dishwasher. It doesn't "dry out" like my wood ones that need a lot of TLC. I am contemplating buying another one to use for meat, especially since I can buy another color to keep them from getting confused by the other members in my household. The one I have has the non-slip corners, and I love how easy they are to remove to clean!
