Re: food issues does this happen in your home?
Where there a lot of weird rules about food for him growing up? My husband complains about food waste, but is the worst offender. I can blow if off because there was a lot of weirdness about food growing up. I figure he is still rebelling and until he gets over it, there is nothing I can do.

Yes! Super controlling mother. I know this is a big part of things.

Until he stops fighting her, all you can do is limit the damage. And maybe try to teach the girls why this is a problem.

Re: food issues does this happen in your home?
This "food weirdness" and a super controlling mother are very interesting (not necessarily funny, though...).
My MIL is vegetarian, and when my DH was still a kid, she did all kind of weird dietary experiments. My HD was so jealous to other kids who had normal cheese sandwiches for their school lunch. He had to do with some kind of weird brown bread (from fermented dough), spread with a stuff called miso, and he hated it... And DH is really naughty with food! He does not waste it, no, but every time I look the other way around, he buys Coca-Cola, chips, coco-paste, sweet pastry with a lot of trans fat and sugar and all other junk food things I try to keep out of our house. I know it is a way to take revenge on his mother about the nasty, old miso sandwiches... Last edited by MariJo7; 01-05-2015 at 07:11 AM. |
