Omnibus
I am well aware of some controversy surrounding VP's Omnibus. For various reasons, I am still considering it. That said, I have questions...
Would a separate geography course be needed or desired? Would a separate writing course be needed or desired? I know there is a lot of writing involved already, but probably just of one kind?

Re: Omnibus
I have taught VP Omnibus for the past six years to middle schoolers.
1. Yes to separate geography 2. Yes to separate writing program. Omnibus gives writing topics but not the "how to" process. 3. I'd supplement literature too. The secondary books list has some good titles, but IMO it's still not enough lit. ---------- Post added at 05:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:31 PM ---------- Eta: When people ask what I teach, I tell them it's a humanities course. While Omnibus bills itself as theology, literature, history, and Bible all in one... It's actually a Western civ course taught through a Christian worldview using primary source texts. |
