2 yo big feelings
So my 2 yo is a little on the dramatic side. When he's upset he cries forevereeeer. I validate, put words to his emotions, offer cuddles... But he just cries and cries and it's extremely loud. This is if he's mad, gotten hurt, feelings are hurt... Anything at all that might cause tears. This can last anywhere from 5-25 minutes. At 2 do you think it's too soon to start having him go to his own space to calm down? After a few minutes and I've done everything I can but he is still going and won't settle. Ex: it's been 25 minutes of him crying because it's not his bath time (breakfast first, then he can take one). And as soon as he starts to calm he asks again and I remind him after breakfast. This is followed by louder crying. It isn't really a fit, he's just very upset. Is it insensitive to take him to his room until he's calmed down? We've started doing this with our 3 yo and it's been a good thing when he can't calm down, but I'm worried 2 is too young.

Re: 2 yo big feelings
I would try the methods from Happiest Toddler on the Block.
