Default What songs are you really enjoying these days?

I'd love to discover some new favorites!

After watching the movie "I can only imagine"...I've been listening to MercyMe lately (nostalgia)

Otherwise I'm listening to Phoebe Bridgers, Johnny Cash and a lot of Hillsong

I watched Hamilton on July 4 and woke up 5 days later with various Hamilton songs stuck in my head despite having only heard them once at that point. I don’t really have a musical ear and that’s never happened after one listen. So yeah, I’m pretty obsessed with the soundtrack for Hamilton at the moment. It always makes me feel happy.

Now I am into some pop but really cool songs. One of them is OMI - Cheerleader, not so fancy about clip, but the song is cool. I was surprised that it's 2014, I heart it for the first time a few months ago. I also like the Surfaces song - Sunday Best, it's one the most motivational from my playlist.

We are a big musical theater family, so Hamilton is played A LOT. As well as various other musicals. The Greatest Showman is another big one and anything Disney.

I am really enjoying the Getty's. This is one of my favourites right now. He will hold me fast.

I also really like The Blessing by Kari Jobe. Mostly the one line that makes me sob over and over and over

Quote:
May His favor be upon you
And a thousand generations
Your family and your children
And their children, and their children
Just the whole idea of spiritual blessings going down through the generations. Praying blessings over my children. And their children.

Sons and Daughters by Brett Stanfill
Is He Worthy? by ChrisTomlin
And the hymn, The Solid Rock, especially singing the middle verses in a minor key have really spoken to me lately.

Is He Worthy is one of the only songs I could listen to consistently after Hope's death.
