When you mop...

I'm just curious how other people's homes are. I have no carpet in my house, all laminate vinyl flooring. After I mop, our feet still get a little dirty when barefoot. I've tried the steam mop, the swiffer wet jet, and just plain ole mop and water with cleaner. What's it like at your house?

Its been the same when we lived in carpet free places.

That's my motto anyway

I sweep and then use the swiffer with wet wipes on my kitchen floor and call it good.

Well, I love to go barefoot when the floor is crumb-free, but I don't because of dirty feet.

I've actually never looked at my feet after I've mopped �� No-one wears shoes in our house at all. I love the feel of freshly mopped floors under my feet, but now I will check my feet to see ��

We have hard wood and tile floors except for the bedrooms. We use a swiffer, Bona mop and/or vacuum. Because our heat is radiant, in the floor heat, we don't have heaters to blow around dust. I think that helps keep the dirt down. We also never wear shoes in the house.

My last house, we had hard floors except the bedrooms. I vacuumed & used the steam mop. Our feet were always clean. We had a dog & rarely wore our shoes inside.

Current house has zero carpet. I clean the floors with the same products as before & we don't wear shoes inside. The doors/windows are always open & the house gets dusty quickly. We don't have a pet anymore

but since the backyard is an extension of the house, the kids are back & forth constantly (in their socks or bare feet of course

.) The bottoms of our feet are always dirty. I don't mop everyday, but I vacuum or sweep daily.

After mopping, our feet are clean for the first day. But then we go outside, we play barefoot, and I usually decide when to mop again by the color of my feet by the end of the day

Sweeping keeps a lot of dirt and dust down, but I consider it normal to have not-clean feet, but definitely not black. Just dusty looking.

I vacuum really well, Mop with extremely scalding water, then I steam mop after. I work form one room into another all the way to the front door. This tends to be a every 2 weeks occurrence though as we're just so busy.

This is pretty much what we do. Glad I'm not alone. I do feel like I can't keep our floors completely clean even if I sweep/mop 2-3 times every day.

I don't even own a mop. I use baby wipes under my feet to "mop". I have done this for almost 20 years...way before the Swiffer mop pad things came out

I do hot soapy water and a rag (the kids like to help with this one), or water and vinegar and a rag. I don't own a mop, and I haven't used any kind of "cleaner" in I don't remember how long.
