DD2 may be getting into dog showing.
We went and watched our neighbor show some of her dogs a couple weeks ago and talked about dd2 helping out at shows.
Neighbor has a champion dog she wants to give (co-own) to dd so dd can do jr handler (have to own your own dog). It's such an amazing opportunity for dd! BUT, we have a dog and dh only wants 1 dog (he'd prefer 0 dogs, lol). This dog is quiet and rarely barks. He'd be dd's dog. She's been walking him the past 4 days and of course is falling in love. I LOVE that it's gotten dd walking every day! Now, will it last? I think so. We'd have to fence our yard though because I'm told sight hounds must have a fence and can never be off leash without a fence. Neighbor fenced her yard when she moved in so one side is already done. As I prayed about it tonight I did think that then I'd not get to pick a dog for me down the road when my now 10 yr old dog dies. Not until dd moved out and took the dog with her. But we do make sacrifices for our children. The dog is going to stay over night soon for a visit.

That does sound like an amazing opportunity for your daughter! I must admit, I can understand your dh's reluctance though. Do you have to make a decision quickly?

There is a dog show they are going to in January, that dd was already invited to go to before the offer of this dog. I think we could just fence 1/2 our backyard, we don't really want to fence the whole thing. No, not my breed of choice but God sometimes ,no always, has the best plans for us. And if this gets dd walking half an hour every day then woohoo!!!

Oh, that's difficult that you have to make a quick decision. I can definitely see the plus side in getting your dd walking every day!
